This majestic eyesore is a few blocks from downtown Kirksville. Windows are busted, more often than not the grounds are overgrown, but wow, they do not build them like this anymore. It's been on the verge of being condemned more than once, so we'll see how long the luck holds.
The windows would be among the biggest headaches, and I'm sure there'll be some asbestos abatement. And on top of that, roof issues. But looking at the bottom photo with the detail of the masonry work around the window -- it could be stonework -- it begs preservation.
