Curtain Up! ... Part 2.2

I mentioned in the previous post my adjusting the Die! Mommie! Die! logo because it wasn't bloody enough. And as I experimented with India Ink, I began to fret about their being too much blood. It's always something. Here are the before and after:

I think the pink satin-y background gives it the retro feel the show demands, so I kept that. The text, same thing, kept it, just blew it up more.

I placed newspapers on the ping-pong table in the basement, arranged a few sheets of white paper and went to town with the India Ink splatter-wise. I don't think I could have been luckier with the drop now dotting the "i" in Mommie. And the slash is killer. (Pun intended.)

I allowed the ink to dry, scanned the images, cleaned up some errant speckles, colored them red, and voila! I decided to superimpose the slash over the border and title for that extra touch of gruesome.
