Cowabunga, Dude!

Rising waters create interesting images.

The heavy rains earlier this summer of course caused rivers to rise. The bigger the pool, the bigger the splash, and everything else. The location? Where else? Wapsipinicon State Park, Anamosa, Iowa.

I love the clean, sweeping lines leading into the chaos folding back.

Anyone else hear the theme to Hawaii Five-O? Taken from the bridge,
the waters heading over the dam are in the foreground.

Damage caused by the 2008 floods is being repaired, and that could change the flow of the waters. I'm not sure. It should be interesting. I visited while the work was being done. The concrete is curing, and the flow is greatly reduced. I'm sorting through the pics and will post soon.
