"B" Pictures

It’s January, but temperatures are in the upper 40s one day, mid twenties the next and there's no snow on the ground. What better time to post pictures showcasing the warmth of summer? These are "B" pictures because they show butterflies and bees. The amazing thing is I didn't get stung by the latter. The last, taken in early fall, is of a Monarch, which I found to be quite a skittish subject earlier in the summer.

At first I thought this was a moth, but it is a Buckeye Butterfly.

Notice the pollen on the hind legs.

I like this shot particulary because of the delicateness
of the butterfly amid these ginormous thistles.

Publishing note: I’ve done well posting every Tuesday, but with 2012 I’m going to shake things up a bit and go with the first and third Tuesday of every month. If the situation warrants, I’ll throw in another Tuesday or two. This should give me some time to focus on other areas that have gone wanting.
