Textures

Time to revisit the starving artist side of things.

I mentioned in an earlier post about the work being done on the Wapsi dam. Over the course of a few weeks, I spent a several hours tracking the reduced flow of water over the dam.

Twisting and turning my camera to play with the angles, then auto-enhancing to boost the colors, I think I got some neat abstract shots. The lines in the waters coming down against the foam and flow are a nice contrast and create a lot of action.

This strategy seemed to work best in vertical, but here are some horizontal compositions ...

Lots on interesting textures, indeed. There is sure to be another post offering a different class of textures, still water, but still different.
