I love getting a phone call stating an exhibit starts in January, we need a poster, and can you come up with a name for it? Ok, that's more snark than the situation deserves.
I do enjoy coming up with a name for group shows, because that's part of communicating what the exhibit is about. A composition isn't just an essay, a piece of music, or poetry. It is the piece or pieces that make up the whole.
Otherwise, laying this out was pretty easy. The subtitle of fiber, metal, wood dictated the placement of the photos. (Yes, that is fiber sculpture on the left.) And every piece shown here has these wonderful organic curves.
Usually, I like to use one dominant graphic to get the point across. But this works without cluttering things up. You know what you're looking at, and it's easy to read.
