For a little over eight years, I did a lot of graphic work for Curtain Call Theatre Company in Kirksville. It was tricky to create something to be used in a variety of ways. And since they couldn't afford the full-color treatment, everything had to work well run off a copier. Here are some of my favorites.

*Update (24 Dec 09)*

For Murder by the Book, I was at a loss for how to decorate the mystery writer's apartment. Vain, egotistical and an all-around jerk are just some of the reasons his wife wants to do away with him. So someone so full of himself would have his book jackets framed and prominently displayed in the living room. (If I were ever to be a writer, I would modestly hang mine in my den.)

Where to get titles? Of course, parodies! I looked at a list of Agatha Christie mysteries. Instead of Curtain I used Drapes. The Mirror Crack'd became The Door Jamm'd. Mousetrap ... Moosetrap. I also took a jab at Sue Grafton with H is for Huh?

For some reason, the files used to create these faux covers were deleted. One of my cast liked H is for Huh? so I recreated it for them. I should take a look at the set photos and do the same for the rest.
