There's a dam on the Wapsipinicon River in Anamosa with a walking bridge over it. W
hen it was built, horse and buggies were the norm. Walking over it, while not exactly dicey, can be interesting with a few holes in the boards here and there. But with steel supports underneath, and lots of people fishing off it, I wasn't too concerned.I visited it several times over the past several weeks. Weather conditions subtly changing the waters rolling over the dam.
The sepia tone shot came about when I left the adapter for my wide angle lense on the camera. After adding the sepia, it looks like a vintage photo with the slight blurring on the sides.
The brownish gray streaky shot just looks like molten metal. And I liked the stark contrast of the smooth water against the chaos when it lands several feet down. The shadows

from the trees and clouds add another layer of texture.Related links: Random Shots: Part Deux: Nature, It Runs in the Family ..., Random Nature, Summer in Wapsi State Park, Dam Shots
