Before leaving Iowa, I went through several boxes of Grandma's photos. I was mainly interested in the scrapbooks. There were some pics of her when she was several months old sitting on her grandfather's lap, which were taken a few months before he died. I scanned those plus a few of her folks, and the farms, and others that interested me.
The oldest of the scenic photos is closing in on 100 years old. Walter is referenced on at least one of them, and that would be Great-great-uncle Walter to me. (My great-grandmother's brother; I think I did that right. If Grandma's brother is my mom's uncle ... carry the one ...) The others date from the 1940s. The sunset I think is from 1915 or thereabouts.
I've not cleaned them up except for a minor cropping around the edges.
