"Murder by the Book" Dust Jackets

I mentioned in an earlier post about creating book covers to line the walls of Selwyn Piper's living room in the play Murder by the Book, which I directed several years ago. I thought for sure I had accidentally deleted this file, but there it was along with all the other files for this show. No matter how hard you look for something, you never find it until you're not looking.

(I might also add there isn't any way to deliberately not look for something. It must be stumbled upon like a child's toy left on the stairs in the dark.)

At the time, all I had to print with was an inkjet. No one I knew had their computer hooked up to a color copier. Just as well; 8x10 frames were the easiest to find in bulk.

When I look at them today, I think, "Wow, cheesy covers from an '80s book club." Now it wasn't a cheesy show, but more of a breezy-whodunnit-dark comedy, so I guess a little cheese can be forgiven. Ok, Murder by the Cook was stretching it, well, along with all the other parodies.

Now before you think this is all I can do, take a look at these ...
